Resolved Question: where are some good public hunting spots for cayote and jackrabbits in southern CA?

this is my first year hunting and so far i've only been to parts of the cleveland national Forest in the Riverside county and the Mojave National Preserve. Saw a dead yote in the Cleveland so that kind of let's me know they're there. The Mojave NP was cool saw lots of jackrabbits but only coyote droppings and tracks..no actual coyote.
